The Raid release ‘On a Scale’ has attracted applause from many a critic and who am I to argue? Yes it’s a well worn scally vocal & in your face rockathon formula that they’re abusing but hey, why not? Somewhere between Sultans of Ping and Stereophonics we find their sound and perhaps venturing towards The Strokes for a hint as to their execution. And whilst I can find nothing individual or immediately outstanding about this track that’s as good as anything else of a similar chart friendly ilk, at least this doesn’t grate on my nerves like other kooky monkeys I don’t care to mention.
