Leon Jean Marie – Bent Out Of Shape

Set to be the next big thing, Leon Jean Marie provides the listener with a mostly groovilicious album with a little variety from a funky opener to tracks with ska-esque synth rhythms like in ‘East End Blues’ to catchy radio-friendly numbers and beautiful ballads such as ‘Beg’.

However, certain tracks such as ‘You Must Know’ would possibly better with less beats behind them and a more stripped down approach. ‘Bed Of Nails’ vaguely resembles ‘The Sun And The Rain’/’Tomorrow’s Just Another Day’ by Madness but holds its own making it a standout track of the album especially as it is the most different style on this eclectic album. Generally this is a must-have album for any music fan and comes much recommended.
