The Snake Of June – Blood Red Sun

Untamed amps make for some decent raw edged material here. Sadly it doesn’t go anywhere fast which can tend to leave you with a bit of a drone of a band. Or a band that drones. And the same can be said for the rest of the EP. It all seems to be all build and not much in the way of pay off.

The band certainly have a sense of style and are paying homage to a few select bands, but sadly they aren’t getting the most out of their inspiration which causes them to not have much in the way of innovation.
