Hammering drums open this new wave nutcase of an EP. A voice starts to rant, a perky guitar rhythm picks up and we are headlong into ‘Poison the Chalice.’ It isnt angry musc we are listening to, and it thankfully is not very emotional either. But it isn’t quite rock either. We are in heavy indie teritory here. A more thoughtful following track shows more of a range.
There are intonations of other bands on the scene at the moment, but one of the heaviest influences is distictly The Smiths/Morrisey. And whilst there is nothing wrong going on here, you do tend to find yourself reaching for that other better known bands CD collection.
