MTV Music Awards Competition

Sony Ericsson and MTV Networks International are inviting music lovers from across Europe to swap their dancing shoes for walking boots and win the chance to walk their way to the 2008 MTV Europe Music Awards – literally!

100 music fans, 400km, 9 days (29 Oct-6 Nov) – the Sony Ericsson MTV FanWalk will see die-hard music fans from across Europe embark on a musical pilgrimage from London to the world capital city of pop, Liverpool – in time to see the show and take part in the full MTV EMA experience.

On top of that, MTV will provide the once in a lifetime opportunity for one lucky FanWalker to present an MTV EMA live on stage in the Echo Arena, Liverpool.

To become a FanWalker is no mean feat, launched on 15th August the competition kicks off with on-line casting-style auditions across Europe. So, if you’ve got what it takes, log on to link and highlight why you should be part of this unique, exhilarating and challenging road trip.

Then when you’ve auditioned you need to lobby for votes! If you can convince your family, friends and the public to vote for you then you could be shortlisted and a step closer to attending the music event of the year in November.

Throughout the ten day trail the FanWalkers will participate in interviews, photography and daily reports of their journey which will be transmitted to local newspapers, TV and radio stations, as well as uploading a personal daily blog via their Sony Ericsson Walkman® phone.

And on completion of the last leg, “You’ll Never Walk Alone” will certainly be the anthem heard around Liverpool when the 100 FanWalkers grace the red carpet with some of the world’s most notorious music and entertainment personalities of the past year.

If that’s not enough, you’ll want to bin your walking boots and grab your gladrags when Sony Ericsson and MTV chaperone the lucky FanWalkers to the infamous after show party to mingle with the stars.
