Led Zeppelin have confirmed that they will be touring without founder singer Robert Plant.
It had been reported that the band were rehearsing with Myles Kennedy, a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Washington, but the band are apparently trying out a couple of different singers.
Plant had refused to tour again with the band and said that, “It's both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward,” in response to reports that a tour would go ahead.
The other band members, however, will continue to play together but insist they are not looking for a Plant sound-a-like.
“It's got to be right,” Jones said. “There's no point in just finding another Robert. You could get that out of a tribute band, but we don't want to be our own tribute band. There would be a record and a tour, but everyone has to be on board.”
