Budweiser and Cassette Jam Search for the UK’s Next Superstar DJ
Budweiser has teamed up with top British DJ double act, Cassette Jam, to launch Budweiser’s Rising Talent 2008 DJ search. The competition, which is now in its second year, gives up-and-coming DJs the chance to win a main room set at The Warehouse Project on New Year’s Eve.
Aspiring DJs can visit link to learn more about the competition and how to enter. Entries close on December 5th and five finalists will be selected to attend the Budweiser Rising Talent final on December 16th at Proud Galleries, Camden. The top DJ of the night will win the New Year’s Eve set.
With Budweiser’s support, The Warehouse Project, Manchester’s legendary winter music venue, brings 12 weeks of world class DJs and live acts to Manchester’s city centre. The clubbing calendar culminates with the biggest event of 2008 – Budweiser’s New Year Rising. Cassette Jam will be on the bill along with the winner of Budweiser’s Rising Talent 2008. Both will join a long list of legends including Pete Tong, Sasha, Roots Manuva, Dizzee Rascal, De La Soul and LTJ Bukem, who have all graced The Warehouse Project’s main stage.
Will Graney from Cassette Jam, said, “Budweiser is offering aspiring DJs a truly unique opportunity. With so many DJs out there vying for the best gigs, this is an amazing chance for one amateur DJ to play the set of their dreams. We got our big break by winning a DJ competition, so this could be someone’s chance to really make it on the electronic music scene.”
