Hot on the heels of his debut album ‘Man Like I’, this year’s widely tipped soundtrack to the summer, Natty prepares to release the second single from the album, the soulful love skit ‘Bedroom Eyes’ on 10th November.
The 24 year old North Londoner has made a smooth transition from studio engineer and curator of the underground Vibes and Pressure nights to Atlantic records artist in the space of a year. His emergence from the underground scene to the rest of the world has been happily encapsulated with the release of debut single ‘July’ which attracted rave reviews across the board. This was shortly followed by his album ‘Man Like I’, the highest new entry week of chart.
Natty has attracted attention from all areas with his soulful edge, indie style and reggae undertones making his music meaningful and accessible concurrently. The summer spirit to his debut has meant Natty appears at over 20 festivals this year including Glastonbury, Lovebox, Reading and Bestival, this flurry of live activity follows in the wake of high profile support slots with Adele and Kate Nash.
‘Bedroom Eyes’ showcases Natty’s sensitive side, its sentiments have a softer meaning than some of the other tracks on the album encapsulating the overall smoothness of the record but maintaining a distinctly rootsy feel, akin to Natty’s style. The video of him performing live in his studio has had a staggering 436,000 hits on YouTube since being added and was the No.1 most responded video during week of release. A regular live favourite his performance of the track at Glastonbury tore the house down as well as a series of sell out UK dates this summer.
