The Gaslight Anthem – Behind The Scenes

The Gaslight Anthem hail from New Brunswick, New Jersey and their anthemic tales of Americana life have captured the imagination and hearts of fans and media alike.

The band’s sophomore album ‘The ’59 Sound’ is heralded as one of the best albums of 2008. Kerrang! magazine put the band on the cover before they had ever written a word about them, NME called it the “best album of 2008” and other immensely positive press has come from RockSound, Big Cheese, Q magazine, as well as great US press in the form of Alternative Press, Rolling Stone and Spin.

After an incredible UK debut at the Reading Festival (followed by blinding sets at Leeds and 3 small hectic headline shows in Manchester, Nottingham and London) The Gaslight Anthem return to the UK in December to finish up what is becoming a very successful 2008. To coincide with the dates, they’ll be releasing their second single from ‘The ’59 Sound’ – the suitably anthemic ‘Old White Lincoln’ – on December 1st. The band will also be signing copies at the London Vans Store on the same day.

The band have produced this video (see above) to give some further insight into their sophomore album ‘The ’59 Sound’, one of the most critically acclaimed records of 2008.

The dates are as follows:

December
1st London, Vans Store (signing session)
3rd: Glasgow, Garage
4th Manchester, Academy 3
5th London, LA2
