Apache Beat 'Tropics'

One of the most hotly-tipped bands to come out of NYC this year, Apache Beat have just dropped a digital-only single, the release party for which was their hotly anticipated performance NME 2008 Showcase at CMJ with Boy Crisis.

This is a newly recorded album version of Apache Beat's 'Tropics', of which a previous demo version was released on 7″ vinyl only (with b-side 'Your Powers Are Magic') on SLU in 2007. The new version was recently recorded in New York with Martin Bisi, whose producing credits include Sonic Youth, Afrika Bambaata, Dresden Dolls, and The Boredoms. It will appear on their upcoming album in 2009.
