Kings of Leon - Echo Arena
Live Review

Kings of Leon – Echo Arena, Liverpool

There has been a lot of Coverage and excitement about this Tennessee four piece recently and rightly so!

Their fourth album “Only by the Night” has enough extremely catchy anthems to fill an extremely massive bag!

Playing Glastonbury recently saw them pull of a spectacular rock show of the highest calibre and gather swarms of new fans. Going to Echo Arena I had very, very high expectations.

They certainly did not disappoint. Opening with the body shaking “Crawl”, which sent the whole stadium into a bouncing frenzy. Even the scallies surrounding me had their rock hands in the air. It was apparent this sold out arena wasn’t just there for Sex on Fire.

They played through four albums of hits and had the audience encapsulated the whole time. They occasionally would say “We’re Kings of Leon” in a deep south accent, which would result in a huge roar from the crowd. At one point they said “If it wasn’t for Liverpool, we wouldn’t be here”. Lovely stuff Caleb.

Kings of Leon put on an unforgettable gig. They didn’t move round much or talk much or seem phased by anything, but I didn’t care, this bands presence and quality of songs puts them as one of the best bands in the world. With this show selling out so easily you can’t help but think Wembley stadium is next. See you there!
