BPA ft Emmy The Great – Seattle

‘Emmy the Great’ may not be the brains behind this track (that is in fact music veteran Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim) but she certainly adds some talent. The production is a rare slowed down treat from Norman, hinting that he may be using this project to promote his more obscure and less commercial ideas. It’s still nonetheless an outfit that is destined receive widespread commercial success and acclaim, due to Norman’s cult status and the fact that pretty much everything he touches is ingenious, and more importantly even after all these years he is still in keeping with current trends.

And who better to ask in the current melting pot of Brit female singers than ‘Emmy the Great’. Her dreamy whimsical vocals are the perfect accompaniment to this laid back dance groove. Her soft and sublime vocal harmonies add a touch of class, complimenting the song to great effect whilst also showing that she is equally at home singing over dance beats as she is folk composition.
