Attic Lights - Late Night Sunshine
Album Review

Attic Lights – Late Night Sunshine

So it’s not all doom and gloom up in Glasgow after all; ‘Attic Lights’ are here to show us the sunny side of Scots. ‘Late night Sunshine burns the troubles from my back’ rasps Attic Lights front man Kevin Sherry and with song craftsmanship as delightful as this you’d be a fool to bet against anything other than ‘sunshine’ heading this bands way in the very near future, especially with a 5 album deal in the pipeline with Island records.

Strong similarities in the bands sound can be drawn to ‘Weezer’ with a strong and powerful dose of geek- chique pop set in place. It’s simple power chord pop rock done to maximum effect with ‘Beach Boy’s’ style vocal harmonies that all in all create an uplifting and melancholic ballad.

So, if you’re getting a taste of the winter blues go feast yourself on some ‘Attic Lights’; their cheerful and uplifting harmonies will be sure to give you a lift.
