Spinnerette 'Ghetto Love' Video

Brody Dalle, lead singer and songwriter of The Distillers, unveiled her new band Spinnerette with the download only EP last week.
This is the new video for lead track Ghetto Love by acclaimed director Liam Lynch.

Having disbanded The Distillers in 2006, Dalle took time out to regroup and start a family with husband Joshua Homme. She began focusing on a new musical direction and the ways in which she could retain artistic control, and remain firmly at the helm of her career. A turbulent time emotionally, taking in the birth of her daughter and the death of her father, inspired her first Spinnerette compositions and the songs featured on this first EP – Ghetto Love; Valium Knights; Distorting A Code; Bury My Heart – touch upon themes of redemption, salvation and religion.

Ghetto Love was recorded at PinkDuck and 11AD studios in Los Angeles. Additional musicians on the ep include Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven), Tony Bevilacqua (The Distillers), and Jack Irons (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Dalle devotees got their first taste of Spinnerette at 3 sold out shows in LA and Dalle will hit the UK in the new year, to headline an NME Awards show on 23rd February, at the Islington Academy.

Spinnerette's album is due for release in March.
