Casey Desmond -
Album Review

Casey Desmond –

Something of an alternative pop diva, Casey Desmond flows gently between many a family pop icon both old and new. What’s nice is that she has tapped into a pop sensibility that has worked so well for some of the best female vocal talents from the 80’s, and taken onboard voices of the more recently present who appeal themselves to the modern generation of youthful listeners. She seems to have meshed the best of both worlds together and come up with something that still sounds genuine.

Her own sound aside, what is also relevant here is her talent for music. It is both multi-layered and effective beyond genre convention. If Desmond decides to take her sounds in different artistic directions there is no reason why she wouldn’t be able to succeed on any front should she push things artistically enough.
For now though this is all very decent pop for kids young and old.
