Get Out Clause - Mosgito EP
Album Review

Get Out Clause – Mosgito EP

Get Out Clause are a bass mad trio from North Wales who have enough raw energy to consume a dolphin on toast and get away with it. This 4 track EP showcases the bands musical approach which is akin to a home invasion, followed by a wicked grin as they wave you goodbye cradling your stereo and DVD collection as they exit.

The tracks are all fast riff heavy starlets that are beautifully constructed to ignite any live evening into a frenzy of general larger throwing and frenzied crushing from the rear. Having what may be a current UK sound in this case is no bad thing as the band have cleverly tied their indie sharp guitars with pounding bass lines to the concept of not exactly having everything perfectly in tune at all times, leading to a Sonic Youth infused edge that lift them far above the ordinary.

This 4 track EP brims with excitement as you listen given the feeling of something new recycled from all the old tat that is out their on the market today. Passion filled and positively boiling over with talent these boys surely have an exciting future that could involve the type of venue you can park a fleet of hummers in with total ease.

This band are a testament to the notion that commitment to a cause can still bring forth something that excites the ears without much difficulty at all. From the first cord to the last you are left feeling violated but in a very good way almost like a teenager taken apart by an older partner without anything actually illegal having occurred, fantastic stuff.
