Biz Markie coming to Dublin

New York rap legend Biz Markie has announced a March 23rd club show in Whelan’s with top Irish promoters Choice Cuts.

Part of the early ‘80s NY beat-box scene, Marcel Theo Hall has collaborated with many big names from the hip-hop world such as Roxanne Shante, Beastie Boys & MC Shan to name but a few. He also helped launch the classic Cold Chillin' record label with co-producer Marley Marl.

He released his debut album, 'Goin' Off', in 1986 but it was a year later when Biz broke into the mainstream when 'Just a Friend' was released. An infectious song that featured rapped verses and out-of-tune sung choruses, it also gave Cold Chillin' it's first top ten hit.

Tickets are priced €23 & expect this to be a sell out.
