Electro pop duo, Junior Boys, have announced an Irish stop-off on their upcoming European Tour at Dublin’s Academy on Saturday 14th March. Tickets priced €17.50 incl. booking fee are on sale now at all usual Ticketmaster outlets.
Junior Boys last record, 2006’s So This Is Goodbye, was shortlisted for the 2007 Polaris Music Prize. Leaving behind the dense beats of their debut LP, Last Exit, songs such as the upbeat single In The Morning and their cover of Frank Sinatra’s When No One Cares draw upon their love of the classic pop of artists like David Sylvian and Bryan Ferry fusing their distinct brand of melancholia with a sonic distillation of the last 25 years of electronic pop into one contemporary album.
Junior Boys have completed the recording of the follow up to So This Is Goodbye and it is due for release in 2009.
Tickets for Junior Boys live at the Academy on Saturday 14 March are on sale now priced €17.50.
