Oxfam are teaming up with Audio Farm to host the Oxfam tents at the UK’s biggest festivals in 2009, including Leeds Festival, Bestival, T in the Park, Isle of Wight Festival, V Festival, and Womad Festival. Audio Farm is a new night in Manchester which harvests the very best of Electronic music. Together with Oxfam, we are launching one of the most exciting and off the scale DJ competitions the UK has seen for a long time, which will guarantee the winner has a truly unforgettable summer.
The winner of the ‘Oxfam DJ Competition’ is to join the Audio Farmers at this year’s summer festivals, where he/she will be given a unique and enviable platform to show off their turntable skills. The winner will gain free entry to all of the aforementioned festivals and will be playing in front of thousands of festival goers, alongside some of the biggest DJ’s in the world.
The competition starts in early 2009, with the final entry date at the end of March. All competition entrants must enter by sending a mix, or posting an MP3 online.
Visit link (DJ Competition) for more details on how to enter.
The Audio Farmers will select the ten best mixes, which will then be posted on our website on March 30th. A voting system by the public will commence, with the five most popular DJ’s playing at a live final at Moho Live, Manchester on Thursday 30th April. The winner will be judged on the night by a big profile DJ, the Audio Farmers, two local DJ’s and Danny McNamara from Embrace.
