You have to give a band credit for leaving themselves so open for critique with their moniker choice, but unfortunately Birmingham based foursome do nothing but live up to their name. Opening track Homesick displays a band with their sights clearly set on the epic, everyman rock sound of Springtseen. However it’s an aim that isn’t even close to being reached.
On “London Sky” singer Matthew Colley belts out “it feels good to be alive”, I’m afraid while this is playing through my speakers I’d have to disagree. The final track “Mystery Thing” does nothing to break the pattern of clichéd middle of the road rock. A poorly conceived, un-original collection of sounds that even manages to make Coldplay sound edgy.
