Thursday – Common Existence

Some more youthful angry played emo-rock for the masses. Thursday is perhaps a band that tries to infuse musical madness into a well worn genre of music.

As far as conventions go they pretty much tick most of the boxes on the form, and whilst these parameters don’t really surprise, what is interesting to note is what they tick under additional material.

There is some interesting vocal work reaching from the heavily accented to the crushing scream. There are musical moments of genuine creativeness too with slight added highlights to songs that add mood. But special mention of their more atmospheric and quieter tunes “Time’s Arrow” and “Love has led us Astray” is where the real money is.
