The Firm – Dismal Results

Part the way through the opening half of new single ‘Dismal Results’ boredom sets in and refuses to leave until the last, dying chords of B-side ‘Round The Rim (And Back To Him)’. There is just nothing here of any real quality.

The Firm have managed to mix a plodding jam esque sound with a diabolically awful vocal impersonation of Morrissey without even bothering to give it a 21st century twist. Even the live versions don’t raise the heart rate above medically dead levels.

If you want genuinely exciting, socially aware rock with electro flavourings try Viva Radio. If you’re happy listening to a cheap Jam knock off with all the charm of a dead fish by all means, listen to The Firm.
