Aretha Franklin has confided that she wasn't happy with her historic performance of the American patriotic song ‘My Country ‘Tis of Thee’ at Obama's inauguration day. She told journalists that it wasn't down to nerves, although she was very excited about the show from the moment it was offered. Rather it was due to the cold weather, which had a negative effect on her voice, she said that everyone else pre-recorded, but that she hadn't even been offered and rushed to the studio straight after to record the commemorative.
The performance on the 20th January this year was a once in lifetime opportunity for many on the day and will be remembered as an important day in history.
