The Chemists “Hear Our Song”

The Chemists release their aptly named new single “Hear Our Song” on March 23rd through Distiller Records. The track was mixed by Adrian Bushby (Foo Fighters/Doves.) The single will be available on 7”/ download and a remix is provided by Jagz Kooner who has previously remixed songs for Oasis, Reverend and the Makers and Kasabian, amongst many others.

The Chemists are Johnny Benn (Vocals), Sam James (Lead Guitar), Wayne Jones (Bass), Dave Betts (Rhythm Guitar) and Matt Albon (Drums.)

The single is taken from their debut album which will be released later in the year. The band are from Bristol and have already supported The Bluetones, The Crimea and The Delays on tour. They rounded off last year with nationwide tours as special guests of The Music and Feeder, where they received an excellent reception.

Their musical influences are the Queens of the Stone Age, The Pixies, The Police and Doves, amongst others. They have been requested to perform a radio session on the Tom Robinson 6music radio show and also on Janice Long’s Radio Two show.

They will be playing the following dates with The Boxer Rebellion in March, more dates to be confirmed:

March 15th – Newcastle O2 Academy 2

March 16th – Glasgow Garage G2

March 18th – Nottingham Rescue Rooms
