Wednesday 13 – Bloodwork EP

Well somebody is a fan of Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper and Black metal. It’s like the two came together to form a heavy, ungodly sound that still resembles songs.

This metal EP works the wonder of sounding coherent, and you can even make out what the singer is saying too. With many of their fellow bands out there making a right hash up of everything, Wednesday 13 have an ace up their sleeve with this easy to enjoy release.

6 Songs is far too short to be an album. You’d think they might have made the effort to write a few more to at least have an album release. But having said that, and judging by the results here, they must be all about quality over quantity. And the quality takes a major boost at the end when the last two tracks take a turn for the acoustical. You do suddenly think you are listening to a whole new band. And they are decent tunes as well.
