Following a triumphant run of gigs at SxSW Fanfarlo prepare to take their strangely-strange-yet-oddly-hook-laden pop out on the road for a string of UK dates in support of their debut album Reservoir.
The 13-date tour includes an appearance at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival and culminates in a headlining show at London’s ICA on June 2.
Fanfarlo have been diligently honing their recorded output and live performance over the past year ahead of the release of their debut album Reservoir. First comes the Double-A side ‘Drowning Men / Sand And Ice’ on the esteemed Moshi Moshi Singles Club on May 4, prior to the album’s release on Raffle Bat on May 25.
Debut album ‘Reservoir’, sweeps from sweet murmuring melodia to orchestral pop with a bizarre collection of characters – Howard Hughes, Pellegrino Ernetti and Harold T Wilkins – inhabiting songwriter Simon Bathalzar’s poetic musings.
