Seal Cub Clubbing Club Launch Debut Album With A Literary Twist . . .

The Seal Cub Clubbing Club will launch their debut album, Super Science Fiction at a special FREE outdoor gig at the City’s ‘Rockscape’ amphitheatre, Renshaw Street on Saturday 25 April, 12 Noon – 4pm.

The event will see the band playing songs from the new album with ‘support’ from a host of local literary talent and The Reader Organisation, to promote the band’s interest in reading and creative writing.”

The Seal Cub Clubbing Club will be performing with a number of special guests, including:

Liverpool Screenwriter & novelist, FRANK COTTRELL BOYCE
Manchester Short Story writer, ZOE LAMBERT
Wirral Horror writer, RAMSEY CAMPBELL

Nik Glover lead singer, commented, “We love books and reading and we are made up that some truly great local writers want to share our love of fiction and help celebrate the launch of our debut album.”

Excitingly compared to both Clinic and the Arctic Monkeys, THE SEAL CUB CLUBBING CLUB are making striking claims to be a 21st Century Talking Heads with lyrics that define their relationship to the Wirral, Liverpool and contemporary life.

‘ROCKSCAPE’ was a key public realm work as part of Liverpool Biennial 2008’s MADE UP exhibition. It was designed by Japanese architects Atelier Bow wow and is now being managed by local events company The Jamm Factory to provide a city centre venue for music.”
