The Horrors Confirmed For Lounge On The Farm Festival

Lounge On The Farm are delighted to announce that the Horrors will be headlining the Friday night Cow Shed Slot at the Merton Farm festival which takes place on 10/11/12 July 2009.

This year’s line up is looking like one the best yet for the Kent festival, organiser Matt Gough agrees saying “Already this year the line-up is shaping up to be the best we've ever had at Merton Farm. We've got some huge acts for the festival this summer. Roll on July!”

The garage rockers will be playing the festival after releasing hotly tipped second album Primary Colours, and will be joining Edwyn Collins, Mr Scruff and The King Blues amongst many others at this summer’s bash. Edwyn Collins, co-founder of seminal Glasgow label ‘Postcard Records’, global chart-topper in 1983 with Orange Juice’s ‘Rip It Up’ and again solo with ‘A Girl Like You’ in 1995, this is about as legendary as we get down on the farm.

Supporting the main stage headliners are a host of bands, from Mercury-nominated Portico Quartet, former Beta-Band psychedelic rockers The Aliens, Dub Pistols and Bent who are performing a Summer exclusive live-set on the farm. Current high-profile ska-punks The King Blues will be headlining the band tent on the Friday night, with support from Brighton hardcore-punks Ghost Of A Thousand and one of Kent’s latest success stories, 4AD-signed It Hugs Back. The NME crowd are well catered for too, with future chart-toppers The XX joining the fray, along with the feedback-drenched gothic noiseniks Ipso Facto and S.C.U.M.
