The headline spot, the drunk teenagers, the exciting entrance music and the tense atmosphere set up what could have been an arena worthy performance…
…had it not been for lead singer Rou Reynold’s voice, or ‘sore throat’, then it would have been. Starting off with a new song, exploiting their new, rawer and slightly darker and heavier sound, it luckily got the crowd going.
For a long day, the crowd were immense, massive circle pits and sing alongs, it’s just a shame that Enter Shikari didn’t quite pull off the perfect performance.
The sound was loud, just not fantastic, the vocals weren’t clear and the synth couldn’t be heard over the growling guitars and pounding drums, but it was a very tight performance. They were in time, and almost faultless, but luckily Enter Shirkari seem to be entertainers, and worked through their stage/vocal problems with comedy and banter, and thoroughly entertained.
