Evil Nine - Icicles
Album Review

Evil Nine – Icicles

Recalling LCD Soundsystem, Evil Nine’s third single from second album They Live, is an aggressive, pulsating bit of indie electro. The “indie” part is supplied largely by the terrific guest vocals from Seraphim, a Brooklyn-based vocalist who sneers with punkish charisma over the harsh, throbbing bassline as the electro noise steadily builds.

The b-sides are not to be overlooked, boasting remixes from the likes of UNKLE and Shir Khan, each version being a novel take on the Brighton duo’s original. This is a strong single that’ll go down a treat with fans of the genre.
