BODIES OF WORK are a bunch of beautiful boys and girls from East London who have just made an album packed full of big tunes.

Formed in early 2008, founding members Martin Bjorck (Vocals/Guitar) and Lizzie Holdforth (Keys/Vocals) forged their sound as a two-piece experimenting with lo-fi electronica before enlisting Andy Wright (Bass) and Chris Morgan (Drums) allowing the songs to flourish in a new light.

Their songs are dark, brooding, urban tales of misspent youth, lust, migration and love. Through oscillating synthesizers and booming bottom end bass these songs are delivered with romantic vigour and emerge with a heart on each sleeve. Their style often stark and intense is
reminiscent of a time when pop pushed boundaries with guitars and keyboards and moved dance floors and emotions alike.

Bodies Of Work are gearing up to promote their debut album which was recorded in Copenhagen by Jon Schuman. The album moves from haunting sinister odes to love lost, through optimistic paeans of melancholy and on to triumphant ‘stand-and-deliver’ jubilation, with both Martin and Lizzie stamping their unique vocal personality over each track, both individually and in harmony.

New single Better Sorry Than Safe is released through alt-pop label Tigerspring, home to early releases from many bright young things.

The song is the sound of a band carefree and freewheeling with abandon, tumbling piano riffs opening up a song which mirrors the feeling of rising joy in your heart that only careless adventure can provide. The central idea of 'better sorry than safe' rings true for not only this single but the album as a whole; by reckless abandonment of current ideas and looking to the future without fear you can create something truly inspired and exciting.
