A real call-back to some of the trippy indie hippie bands that stormed the market back in the late 80’s early 90’s. The raw feel and distortion is a welcome alteration from the crisp and clean cut acts out there (no matter how shaggy they let their hair and clothes appear in photos).
The funny thing about this little EP is that the first track “Missing You” sounds like a raw demo version of a song. It is then swiftly followed by “Missing You (Demo)” which sounds better produced than the version that just preceded it!
Happily it is also different enough to be enjoyed for its own merits. The only bad news is that the final two tracks are remixes of a song that is not presented in its original state. And dance remixes are kind of what kills the music you just heard, so it’s an ill fit to an otherwise expressive piece of music.
