Electro pop punk hasn’t been this much fun, or daft sounding – since the innovators were doing it back in the early 80’s. And yes there is a reason why the female lead is saying robotically the words – cause when she tries to sing, the ears turn the cringe button (rapidly). But if her purpose in the band is to emulate the music around her then it’s a job very well done. To call this kitsch would be unfair, to call it retro even might be accurate for the sake of it’s origins, but it’s otherwise a delightful; and very playful electro pop tune.
