This elongated EP begins prettily enough, but then all too soon dives into Americana girl rock. At first you suspect it could well be a Lacuna Coil type of hybrid – meeting the even more mainstream Evanessence. But it is even more commercial a sound even that that band.
Most of the songs are in a real rush to get somewhere. The lead constantly calls out her words, the guitars and drums are on some sort of manic American teeny/romance TV credits sequence mission. In fact it becomes so repetitive that you only really get a breath of fresh air on the sixth and final track that finally decides to actually do a bit of proper music writing.
Being all rock n’ pop is one thing. Being a band that actually makes new music is a whole new ballpark that they should investigate soon.
