White Lies have announced details of the release of their next single Death, through Fiction Records on Monday June 22nd 2009.
The single is taken from their debut album To Lose My Life, which reached number 1 on its release in January, and will feature remixes by M83 and Crystal Castles; a new video to accompany the Crystal Castles mix is also being filmed.
The start of the year saw the band play the NME Awards Tour alongside Glasvegas, Florence and the Machine & Friendly Fires. This was followed by a US tour and hugely successful appearances at both SXSW in Austin, Texas in March and Coachella Festival in California in April. Having just returned from Japan, the band are midway through headlining their biggest UK shows to date in May, including two sold out dates at Heaven in London. The following dates remain:
22 May 2009 O2 Academy, Liverpool
23 May 2009 Picture House, Edinburgh
24 May 2009 Evolution Festival, Newcastle
The summer sees the band play Isle of Wight, Glastonbury, T in the Park, Latitude and Reading & Leeds festivals as well as a host of other festivals worldwide, including a slot on the main stage at Lollapalooza in the US.
