The first track of this double single “My Timing is Off” is a short and simplistic tune that merely walks us through the ABC of melody happy tunes.
What totally blows this out of the water is the second track that follows. “Fresh Blood” counters the first track like no other. It has a hypnotic pace and vocal work. Seductive whilst ultimately scary at the same time. A wolf howl thrown in here, some kooky guitar work there. This is the sort of songs that make bands cool to like. Whilst the opening track is serviceable, it could hardly be the type of song that is going to inspire much in the way of conversation except maybe to compare how lame it feels next to the work of genius that is “Fresh Blood.”
