Little Boots – New In Town

Little Boots, aka Blackpool’s own Victoria Hesketh, bears the burden of being the latest next big electropop sensation. First single from forthcoming album Hands, “New in Town” shows there’s truth behind the hype. Its a polished, kinetic bit of pop that should win over the droves who have bought into what Lady Gaga’s been selling of late. It’s set to become a mainstay of sweaty dancefloors this summer, with an angular chorus that’ll make you forget you can’t dance for the briefest of moments.

Hesketh has a way to go if she’s going to match the success of the likes of Lady Gaga, but this single will do nothing to harm her growing reputation as a coming attraction. Chart success surely beckons.
