Shinedown 'Second Chance’

Shinedown are set to release album ‘The Sound Of Madness’ on June 29 through Atlantic Records. Produced by multiple Grammy Award-winner Rob Cavallo, it debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 when it was released in the US last year. The album is preceded by the single ‘Second Chance’ on June 22.

‘Second Chance’ follows the singles ‘Devour’ and ‘The Sound Of Madness’, which were released to great acclaim from the rock press. ‘Second Chance’ is currently riding high on US radio, already at number 12 on the Top 40 Radio Chart, while here in the UK the track is already A Listed at Absolute Radio and playlisted on Kerrang TV and Scuzz.

The band are confirmed to play this year’s Download Festival on June 14, their first UK festival appearance. Earlier this year they wowed crowds up and down the country on their first UK headline tour. It was a total sell-out and – due to overwhelming demand – the London show was upgraded from The Underworld to Islington Academy. In a stunning 4K review of their live show, Kerrang said: “Florida classic rockers ignite and inspire… Live they are the bomb”. The band are now confirmed to play three more headline shows in June, including a date at London’s Electric Ballroom on June 16.

The Jacksonville, Florida quintet exploded onto the US rock scene in 2003 with their RIAA platinum-certified breakthrough debut, ‘Leave a Whisper’. 2005 saw the release of sophomore album ‘Us and Them’, the RIAA gold-certified record that yielded the blockbusting single ‘Save Me’ – a track which dominated the airwaves, holding down the number one spot in the mainstream rock charts for a stunning twelve consecutive weeks. The success of ‘Save Me’ was followed by two further Top 5 hits – ‘Heroes’ and ‘I Dare You’.

LIVE IN JUNE:

Tues 16 LONDON Electric Ballroom
Wed 17 LEEDS Cockpit
Thurs 18 PORTSMOUTH Wedgewood Rooms
