Bat for Lashes 'Pearl's Dream'
David Sitek has remixed Bat for Lashes track ‘Sleep Alone’ under the pseudonym 909, for the B-side of upcoming single ‘Pearl’s Dream’. You can hear a stream of the drum-heavy reworking called ‘In Dark Times remix’ exclusively on Bat for Lashes’ Myspace page as of today: link. The video for ‘Pearl’s Dream’, a bewitching and magical film where we first meet the intriguing character Pearl.
The single and remix will be available on 7” vinyl and digital download on 22 June 2009. The digital release will also include two of Natasha’s stand out live tracks ‘Good Love’ and ‘Siren Song’, taken from one of her astounding performances at Shepherds Bush Empire in April of this year.
Bat for Lashes has also been confirmed to appear at this year’s iTunes Live festival, taking place in London throughout July. The new album Two Suns was released to near universal acclaim last month, reaching a staggering Number 5 in the charts. With the single ‘Daniel’ playlisted at Radio 1 and 2 and sessions for Jo Whiley, Zane Lowe and Jonathan Ross, as well as an appearance on Jools Holland and an incredible performance on The Late Show with David Letterman.
