Sound Of Guns Release 'Architects'

Funny story… a young Andy Metcalfe (Top Gun/Vocals) was given a tape of ‘Morrison Hotel’ by his uncle when he was 13 and Andy was caught listening to 'Roadhouse Blues' one morning in assembly, on his walkman and the teacher duly confiscated it for two days, so Andy took his revenge by confiscating all the air from his teachers car tyres. Eye for an eye!

Liverpool’s Sound Of Guns came together with a common goal and love for good passionate music, and forge a sound akin to their collective influences – The Verve, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Led Zeppelin, The Walkmen, The Rolling Stones and The Doors. This diversity helps them cast off the usual sound associated with their hometown, Sound Of Guns have chosen anthemic power chords over jingly, jangly guitars and riotous gang vocals over quirky lyricism.

SOG are a finely tuned musical juggernaut who are mercilessly shifting through the gears and clocking up sufficient mileage with their relentless workaholic ethics, as they look to emerge out of the shadows of obscurity and into the unforgiving threshold of popular culture with the release of their debut single ‘Architects’.

Released on June 8th through Distiller Records, ‘Architects’ is a unequivocal explosion of guitar riffage, but immersed in sheer warmth and beauty which is sure to propel them into the hearts and minds of a nation’s youth.

Sound Of Guns are truly an experience of epic proportion and will be tearing up a stereo or venue near you!
