Radiohead front man Thom Yorke will be playing a solo show at the Latitude festival in Suffolk next month.
Latitude organiser Melvin Benn said: “That it is a special one off performance for Latitude only fills me with enormous pride at the statement it makes about the festival.”
Yorke released his debut album, Eraser, in 2006, which earned a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize, but he did not tour after the album’s release.
Yorke’s spokesperson said no new solo releases are planned, but Radiohead went into the studio last month to begin recording a follow up album to 'In Rainbows', which was released in 2007.
Latitude headliners include the Pet Shop Boys, Grace Jones and Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds. Yorke will take to the Obelisk Arena at midday on Sunday July 19th, the final day of the festival.
