Guildford in Surrey is a lovely place; it’s intimate, classy and rather pretty. Much the same can be said for the pop-rock styling’s of the town’s own Elmor, a band that promise good things with new single ‘Remember Thinking’. The track weighs in at a modest two minutes fifty six, but the guys have positively crammed this short runtime with gorgeous hooks.
The sound is big and tuneful, the strong vocals shimmering over a heady concoction of pretty high-end guitar work and throbbing bass and punctuated by well-placed handclaps. The tight production polishes it all up to a radio-ready shine. B-side “One Step” makes it worthwhile keeping this one spinning, more of the same with a giant, angsty chorus equipped with a goose bump-inducing harmony.
