Flaming Lips New Album To Feature MGMT And Karen O

The new album from The Flaming Lips will feature appearances by MGMT and Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The title of the double LP is ‘Embryonic’, and is due to be released in the UK this September.

Front man, Wayne Coyne, told Stereogum that releasing “a double record offers more room to be strange”.

The band will also be doing a short UK tour in November. The full tour itinerary is as follows:

10th – Troxy, London
13th – Guildhall, Portsmouth
15th – O2 Academy, Glasgow
16th – Academy, Manchester
17th – Academy, Birmingham
