The Rokettes - Burn Baby Burn
Album Review

The Rokettes – Burn Baby Burn

The most striking and prevalent element of the debut single from The Rokettes is vocalist El’s distinctive to. Already backed by the fame of her solo work under the name Elena, her voice is both reminiscent of 80s giants such as Blondie and Chrissie Hynde and refreshingly different in an industry dominated by softer, sweeter voices.
The Rokettes compliment El’s voice with angry guitar riffs and aggressive beats. There is an element of punkish aggression in this track which sets it apart from other indie rock debuts and El’s vocals make it a definite summer anthem.
