Discerning beat admirers & lovers of music take note: The Pod & The Bacardi crew have compiled one of the most enticing line-ups yet for their popular August Bank Holiday Bacardi Party this year.
Taking place Sunday August 2nd, as usual the Latin-themed club will be spread over The Pod, The Lobby Bar & Crawdaddy. A highlight in many people's clubbing calendar, this years’s installment promises to be one of the best yet, with the announcement of red hot collaborative dance/funk outfit N.A.S.A. as headliners in Crawdaddy.
N.A.S.A. (North America South America) are an international collective of musicians spanning a wide spectrum of musical genres, centered around Squeak E. Clean (Sam Spiegel) and DJ Zegon (Ze Gonzales) who have collaborated with everyone from Ol' Dirty Bastard from the Wu Tang Clan to Yeah Yeah Yeahs' charismatic front-woman Karen O. Their fantastic 'Spirit of Apollo' album was described by the NME as “a galaxy of greatness… a giant feast for mankind”.
Over the way in The Pod the wonderful Ashley Beedle will take care of duties, and if you fancy a bit of 2-Step – Sheffield’s newest favourite son and purveyor of incredible raw party music Toddla T is playing support.
With Analogue Mindfield & DJ sets from the Downtown Sounds crew completing the line-up, for only €15 this is a no brainer if you fancy a boogie to great party music. And of course there's all them fancypants cocktails too…
