Bassist Quits The Rapture

It has been announced that The Rapture bassist Mattie Safer has officially left the band.

Safer had been a resident in the band since 1999, but it was announced on the 14th July through the band's website that the bassist will no longer be a part of the group.

The blog on the website went on to reassure fans that The Rapture are still going strong: “We’ve been working out of our little Brooklyn make shift studio, writing, demoing and jamming. I’m pretty damn excited to share the fruits of our labor with you.”

They also mentioned that they will be making an appearance in Australia at the Park Life Festival, in September.
