Foals Cancel Festival Appearances Due To Illness

Foals have cancelled two festival appearances due to a mystery illness.

Two band members have been stuck down, singer Yannis Philippakis, and keyboardist Edwin Congreave.

The group have pulled out of Melt Festival tonight, the 17th of July, and Benicassim Festival tomorrow (the 18th July).

The sick band members wrote in Foals’ MySpace blog, “Unspecified illness with all manner of symptoms. Don’t worry mum, we’re drinking lots of water.”

“My brother has been ferrying food to me. He calls me once the food has been left on the doorstep and he is out of contagions way. It’s like something out of a bad sleuth series. I trudge down in my musty purple Florida T-shirt, I snatch the parcel and head to the kitchen and devour the contents.”

Congreave also said that the band will be heading into the studio next week to begin work on new material.
