Jon Thor Birgisson & Alex Somers – Riceboy Sleeps

A collaboration between Alex Somers and Sigur Ros vocalist Jón Þór Birgisson. This toned down piano led affair is much more in the realms of accompanying music to a visual medium. It is very pretty music full of string orchestral moments as much as the more hollow and haunted moments.

The collaboration seems effortless on the part of both musicians and is one that should be continued as this has come together so well. But it is also worth directing those in the film medium to their talents as they can compose work that is bleak as well as it can be rousing.
