Sweethead – The Great Disruptors EP

Formed in 2008 by Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, Sweethead is a moody and sombre act fronted by sensual vocalist Serrina Sims.

It’s always good to see established musicians trying out new things, and it pays off for Leeuwen as he’s found harmony in both the music and force in the nature of singer Sims. There is also an interesting cover of the Kinks “Tired of waiting for you” which is an suitable moody choice for this band. Anyone familiar with the tempo and tone of that number will get what kind of band Sweethead are aiming to be.

Incoming album “Troy” is due in September.
