Elliot Minor after the great success of their 2008 self titled album the York based five piece have come fighting back with the single Solaris which will also be featured on their upcoming album. Solaris is a song written about not being in such a great time but having a friend bringing in the light to appreciate where you are. The track starts with a leading sound of the keyboard shortly followed by front man Davies soft melodic vocals which are clear and beautiful as ever. The chorus then brings this song to life when the drums and bass kick in. The song stays upbeat and fast pace with parts of the song containing fast guitar solos. Solaris is a song with very catchy lyrics that will have everyone singing after just a few short listens. Although this song is very good it sounds somewhat familiar to songs from the previous album but is still destined to draw fans in.
